Overview

The mission of Adult & Juvenile Probation is to enforce the mandate of the Court of Common Pleas of Union County by ensuring the legal accountability of those individuals under its supervision. This objective is accomplished through individualized direction, client centered goal coordination, the effective use of community-based resources and the swift and consistent administration of prescribed sanctions.

The essential values of Adult & Juvenile Probation encompassed by the mission are community protection, accountability, facilitation of rehabilitation, and mutual respect. These values led to the identification of several operational goals: providing the greatest likelihood of success for clients, exercising authority with discretion and equality, and evaluating and adjusting program services perpetually in order to ensure that the values and mission are reflected in the office’s services.
