Pennsylvania Act 101 requires all persons selling lead batteries for retail purposes to accept used batteries in exchange for those purchased. Any store where you can buy a lead battery (such as an automotive, motorcycle, or lawn equipment battery) is required by state law to accept your old battery when you purchase a new battery.
