Tax Claim Bureau

Overview

The Union County Tax Claim Bureau collects all unpaid real estate taxes returned by all Union County Tax Collectors. This department sends certified notices of taxes to owners; reminder notices to avoid advertising, upset sale notices for properties that are 2 years delinquent plus current taxes. The Tax Claim Bureau is administered by the Union County Treasurer’s Office.

Upset sale listings are advertised in the following newspapers in August:

  • MIFFLINBURG TELEGRAPH
  • STANDARD JOURNAL
  • SUNBURY THE DAILY ITEM

ONLINE TAX SALE LISTING

Upset Sale is held in September.

This office accepts Visa & MasterCard in house. A convenience fee is charged by a third party facilitator for government payments.
