Every year the Pennsylvania Forestry Association in cooperation with our conservation partners establish walks the first weekend of October throughout the State. For Union County and surrounding areas, a walk will take place on a section of State Forest Road and Trail that leads to a scenic view of Penn’s Creek. The walk will be an opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of the local forest with the Union County Service Forester available to answer any questions.
Overall distance should range around 3.5-4 miles of primarily flat terrain until the short ascent to the vista. Parking is limited and will take place along Weikert Run Road. A small section of the walk will occur on a State Forest road.
