Requirements to Apply
Marriage Licenses by Appointment Only
Both parties must:
- Be 18+ years of age
- Be present at the time of application
- Provide Photo ID
- Divorce Decree/Death Certificate if previously married
- Provide Social Security Number
Please see Orphans Court Fee Bill for the cost.
Note: It will take three days to obtain your marriage license. The license is valid for 60 days from the date issued. You can apply in any county of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to get married in Pennsylvania. ( Example: Apply in Union County and get married in Erie County.)
