Dog License Applications


Yearly Dog Licenses

Pennsylvania Law states all dogs 3 months of age or older must be licensed by Jan 1st of each year or could face a maximum fine of $500.00.

Annual License Fees
Male/Female: $8.70
Senior Male/Femail: $6.70

Lifetime License Fees
Male/Female: $52.70
Senior Male/Female: $36.70

**IN ORDER TO PROCESS A LIFETIME LICENSE A PIV FROM A LICENSED VET IS NEEDED**

To obtain a lifetime license the dog must be microchipped or tattooed. the tattoo number is issued by the Treasurers Office.

Residents must be 65 or older to obtain a Senior License or have documentation of a disability.

To apply for an Annual License you can apply online, mail an application for come in to the Treasurer’s Office in person.

To apply by mail you will need to print the application and mail it with a check.

If you do not have access to a printer call the Treasurer’s Office and one can be mailed to you.

Checks are made payable to “Union County Treasurer”

Lifetime License Transfers

If you move to another county within the State of PA, the Lifetime license is transferable. Call the county you’re moving from and they will start the process. They will send the county you’re moving to the information. There will be a $1.00 fee to be paid to the county you are moving to. The county you are moving from may also charge a $1.00 fee.

Replacement Tags

Annual and Lifetime tags can be replaced in our office for $1.70. You can come in to the office in person or send the information along with a check for the fee and we will mail it back to you.
